Welcome to your site!

Central Gallilee schools and the Hillel school of Detroit are partner schools in this website. Our joint-project aims to strengthen Jewish identity through cooperative learning and communication. The central subjects are the Jewish holidays Channuka, Purim, and Passover. We will study these holidays by looking at Judaica artifacts that our families and our people have created and inherited. You can contribute to our collection and visit the virtual museum that will result from our efforts.

What is in the museum ?

*. Photographs of Chanukiyot brought from our homes.
*. Stories about our Chanyukiyot.
*. Links to websites on Judaica.
*. Web images of Judaica from our web quests. *.
*. Artistic analysis and critique of these items by
   the researching students.

• שיח בין הילדים על הפריטים האישיים שמוצגים במוזיאון.
• המלצות שלכם על אתרי יודאיקה, רשימות חמות וקישוריות.
• שיתוף ידע במסורת, בסמלים ומנהגי החגים בארץ ובחו"ל.

Our discussion groups will include

*. conversations between kids about the personal items 
   presented in the virtual museum
*. your recommended links to Judaica sites
*. exchanges of ideas and knowledge about the roots and 
   symbols of Jewish holiday traditions and customs in Israel
   and abroad.

• הביאו חנוכיות לבית הספר.
• צלמו אותן (במצלמה דיגיטאלית או במצלמה רגילה).
• צלמו את עצמכם עם החנוכיה.
• כתבו סיפור אישי על החנוכיה.
• שמרו את הסיפור ב ™word. שבצו את התמונות בטקסט.
• שמרו את התמונות בקובץ GIF נפרד.

• שלחו אלינו דרך קבוצת דיון "חנוכה" את שלושת הקבצים.

General assignment for the three holidays

At Channuka

*. Bring your family's Channuka menorah to school.
*. Photograph your menorah digitally or analogically.
*. Take another photograph of yourself with your own  
    Channuka menorah.
*. Compose a personal story about your menorah. Save it as
    a "Word™" file.
*. Embed the picture of your Channukiya and the picture of
   yourself holding your Channukiya in your text.
*.  Also, separately save the two pictures as separate GIF
     files.
*.  Attach your three files to the Channuka discussion group --
    your two GIF pictures and the document about your 
    menorah.

We in " Ksulot" will take care of technically converting the documents you send.  Your work will then be displayed in the virtual museum.
